The experience, from the incredible opener Sarah Jarosz to Lang Lang's fantastic set at the end, was pure delight. Lang Lang demonstrated that taking a break can be a good thing. They returned strong and prepared to deliver an outstanding performance. As a devoted concert attendee, I attend numerous shows each year, and for the first time in a VERY long time, I recall the crowd not being fixated on their phones. This was likely due to the crowd's 'maturity', but also to the talent on display. You wouldn't want to miss a moment of it checking your Facebook, emails, or texts.
The lighthearted banter among band members, the warm and engaging crowd, and the music... oh, my gracious, the MUSIC!!! It was a delight to witness such awesomeness. This is a band for which I will gladly clear my schedule time and time again. Absolutely worth it!
